Run Director Siobhan gave this morning's pre-run briefing, welcoming all from Causeway Comprehensive Transition Year...
... with everyone paying close attention. Everyone, that is, except her husband and her son...!
Thanks to this week's volunteers! Lorna Browne and Corinne Evans on timekeeping duty, Peter Jackson and Tony Higgins were looking after the results. Peter also scanned your barcodes with Maurice Horan, and Tony took some photos. Siobhán Kearney was Run Director again this week, and Kevin & Oisín Murray checked that all the tokens are in the right order for next week (only one went missing but it has been tracked down!). Carmel O'Shea-Maloney distributed the tokens this week with the help of Bridget Moore, who was as vocal as ever in her support for the runners! Catherine Wharton guided everyone safely around the "dog-leg".
It was great to welcome a large group of students from Transition Year in Causeway Comprehensive School, accompanied by their TY Co-Ordinator Margaret O'Mahony, teachers Fiona Leahy and Cathal Fitzgerald, and of course our own Mark Walshe, a regular parkrunner with us in Tralee, who also works in Causeway Comprehensive. What a great idea to get students up and active on a Saturday morning!
