September 3rd, 2016It was a wet one today! Thanks to Richard O'Connor and Evan Knight for taking this week's photos. Pauline Dennigan was back in her wellies as Run Director. Thanks as always to the volunteers, most of whom were much wetter than the runners as they had stood in the rain when it was at it's heaviest!

Thanks to Jerry Walsh who responded to one of our photos on Facebook with this lovely story about Teddy Foley.
"Great to see Teddy Foley of Tralee back running after so many years . Teddy, Liam Griffin & I had many exciting races against each other in the late 70's. Teddy won the Kerry Community games 1500m in 1978 in a time of 4 min 9 sec beating me into 2nd place . Teddy went on to win the National Community Games 1500m that year in Mosney and on that day he beat the great Paul Donovan of Galway who later represented Ireland in two Olympic Games, 1984 & 1992 ." |
